The internal power-struggle for control of Kenyan cricket has led to more than a dozen leading players switching clubs, with the Obuya brothers among the more prominent of the movers. reported that they left the Ruaraka Sports Club after it withdrew from the newly-formed league, along with Nairobi Simba Union, which saw three players leave for the Kanbis Sports Club.The matter appears to have come to a head at the weekend when Ruaraka Sports Club were unable to field a side for the league match. This was a development that did not sit well with the players, who felt they needed to play in a competetive league, with the Kenyan cricket season warming up and the A teams of Pakistan and India due to tour.
