تسببت العاصفة يونيس في تغيير استعدادات فريق آرسنال لمواجهة برينتفورد، في بطولة الدوري الإنجليزي الممتاز.

مثل معظم أنحاء المملكة المتحدة، تعرضت قاعدة جونرز في لندن كولني لضربات رياح قوية وصلت إلى 80 ميلاً في الساعة يوم الجمعة.

الظروف كانت قاسية للغاية في العاصمة حيث تم اقتلاع مساحات شاسعة من سقف آرينا o2 الأيقوني.

وكانت هناك أخبار مأساوية عبر البحر الأيرلندي حيث أودت العاصفة يونيس بأول ضحيتها في مقاطعة ويكسفورد، حيث قُتل رجل بسبب سقوط شجرة أثناء إزالة الحطام.

من المقرر أن تنتهي تحذيرات مكتب الأرصاد الجوية باللونين الأحمر والكهرماني في الساعة 9 مساءً يوم الجمعة ومن المفترض أن تتحسن التوقعات قبل عطلة نهاية الأسبوع.

تم بالفعل إلغاء عدد من المباريات الرياضية، لكن من المتوقع أن تستمر مواجهة آرسنال على أرضه مع برينتفورد في الإمارات في الساعة 3 مساءً يوم السبت.

اضطر المدير مايكل أرتيتا إلى اتخاذ ترتيبات بديلة أثناء التدريب قبل المباراة عن طريق نقل التدريبات إلى الداخل حيث من المستحيل إقامتها في الخارج كما كان مقررًا لها.

وقال أرتيتا في تصريحات نشرتها صحيفة “ميرور” الإنجليزية: “كان علينا تغيير جلسة التدريبات، كان الجو عاصفًا جدًا، لذلك كان علينا التكيف والقيام بجزء من التدريبات بالداخل وجزء آخر بالخارج”.

في حين تعرض جنوب إنجلترا لضربة شديدة من قبل العاصفة يونيس، إلا أن الغالبية العظمى من أقوى العواصف ضربت البلد الغربي.

Southampton picked up a valuable point as they drew 1-1 with Leicester City on Friday night despite playing the majority of the game with 10 men.

Jannik Vestergaard was sent off after just 10 minutes after catching Jamie Vardy following a loose touch, which may have left Southampton fans fearing a repeat of the 9-0 home defeat against the Foxes in 2019, when Ryan Bertrand also received an early red card.

Unfortunately, not all of his players contributed as much as he would’ve hoped, with Takumi Minamino particularly disappointing with his performance.

As per SofaScore, the on-loan Liverpool man earned a poor 6.4/10 rating for his display, which was the joint-worst of any player who started the game bar Vestergaard. The Japan international, who joined Liverpool for £7.25m, was on the pitch for 76 minutes but had just 26 touches of the ball and only completed seven of his 12 passes, resulting in a poor 58% accuracy rate.

Not only was this the fewest passes from any player to feature for more than 30 minutes, it was also significantly fewer than the 23.7 passes per game he has averaged with Southampton in the Premier League this season, and much poorer than the 71.7% pass accuracy he has registered with the Saints.

Despite being involved so little, the 26-year-old – who reportedly earns £75,000 per week at Liverpool – still managed to lose possession eight times, whilst he was successful in just three of his 11 duels (SofaScore). Minamino was also unsuccessful with every single cross, long ball and dribble he attempted during the game, which emphasises just how poor he was at St Mary’s last night.

Therefore, you could say that Hasenhuttl was justified in his decision to leave him out of the side so often in recent weeks, and after another poor display, it would perhaps be a surprise to see him feature again before the end of the season.

Plenty of Aston Villa fans have been providing their thoughts on a key update on the club’s pursuit of Tammy Abraham this summer.

Along with Newcastle and West Ham, Villa are thought to be interested in the Chelsea striker, with the Blues willing to do business over the coming months.

Sources close to ESPN claimed that the west Londoners are preparing to offload the 23-year-old in the upcoming transfer window so that they can maximise his value with just over two years remaining on his Stamford Bridge deal.

Abraham last started for Chelsea back in February, and it seems as if he is now surplus to requirements under new boss Thomas Tuchel. The Englishman, valued at £36m by Transfermarkt, has scored 12 goals in all competitions this season, and the three interested clubs are confident that a deal can be agreed below the £40m mark.

Leicester City’s top four chances took a setback on Friday night with a humiliating 4-2 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United.

The Magpies surged into a four-goal lead at the King Power Stadium as Joe Willock and Paul Dummett found the net before Callum Wilson bagged a second-half brace.

Goals from Marc Albrighton and Kelechi Iheanacho in the closing stages gave a somewhat better complexion to the scoreline but it was too little too late for Brendan Rodgers’ men, who fell to an embarrassing reverse.

One man who struggled specifically throughout the game was the usually inspirational midfielder Youri Tielemans. Deployed alongside Wilfred Ndidi, the Belgian appeared to be overwhelmed by a ravenous Newcastle midfield who were aiming to seal their Premier League survival.

According to SofaScore, the former Monaco man lost possession on 16 occasions throughout the game as the hosts wasted so many opportunities to probe the visitors. Only Marc Albrighton was more careless in possession for the Foxes.

Whilst the £120,000-per-week midfielder contributed three key passes throughout the game according to WhoScored– the joint-most in the Leicester team – he was continually frustrating in an attacking sense.

Of the ten crosses he attempted throughout the 90 minutes, he only completed three. He also attempted three shots but failed to trouble Martin Dubravka in the Newcastle goal, with none of his efforts finding the target.

Having been one of Leicester’s most pivotal players in an attacking sense this season, it was certainly a dramatic drop-off for Tielemans.

Elsewhere, whilst not his primary assignment, the Belgian barely contributed in a defensive sense, either. He did not complete a single tackle, interception, clearance or block throughout the game. The 24-year-old also did not win an aerial duel.

Whilst Leicester’s defence must shoulder much of the responsibility for a woeful performance against Newcastle, Tielemans was also marked largely absent as Leicester’s Champions League hopes took what could potentially be a devastating hit.

ويلتقي باريس سان جيرمان بنظيره ريال مدريد، يوم الأربعاء 9 مارس، على ملعب “سانتياجو برنابيو”، ضمن لقاءات إياب دور الـ16 من وري أبطال أوروبا.

وقالت الصحيفة الفرنسية إن راموس لا يزال مصابًا، ومن شبه المستبعد أن يكون متاحًا لمباراة الإياب ضد ريال مدريد.

وأوضحت الصحيفة أن تعافي راموس من الإصابة يُسير ببطء شديد، وسيكون من الصعب للغاية أن يتواجد في مواجهة فريقه السابق.

يُذكر أن راموس بسبب تكرار إصاباته هذا الموسم مُنذ الانتقال إلى باريس سان جيرمان، ولم يُشارك إلا في 4 مباريات وسجل هدف وحيد.

لا يرغب المدرب الألماني، يورجن كلوب، المدير الفني لنادي ليفربول، في خسارة لاعبه الدولي المصري، محمد صلاح، ورحيله عن صفوف الريدز، مع تبقي عام ونصف على نهاية عقده مع فريق حمُر الميرسيسايد.

ودخل مسؤولو ليفربول في مفاوضات مع محمد صلاح لتجديد عقده، ولكن لا يوجد أي اتفاق حتى الآن رغم استمرار المحادثات لأشهر طويلة.

ليفربول يريد تجديد عقد صلاح والذي ينتهي في صيف عام 2023، قبل أن يدخل الـ 12 شهرًا الأخيرة من عقده وتجنب رحيله بالمجان.

وحسب صحيفة “ديلي إكسبريس” البريطانية، فإن كلوب أخبر إدارة ليفربول أن تحاول “بأي طريقة ممكنة” على حد وصف الصحيفة، بإغلاق المفاوضات وتجديد عقد صلاح.

وأوضحت الصحيفة أن كلوب لا يرغب في خسارة صلاح، ويريد المدرب الألماني الإبقاء على النجم المصري لأطول فترة ممكنة.

صلاح كان انضم إلى ليفربول، قبل أربع سنوات ونصف، في صيف عام 2017، قادمًا من إي سي روما الإيطالي.
