Liverpool fans have taken to Twitter to slam some of their fellow supporters, after footage emerged of some fans throwing members of the public – who were just minding their own business – into a nearby fountain.
The footage shows locals being hoisted up by their ankles and dunked into the fountain head first, while cries of laughter follow and no other fans step in to stop the perpetrator.

Liverpool’s fanbase were of course in Catalonia awaiting their side’s massive Champions League semi-final tie against the Spanish giants, but some of them simply can’t seem to avoid causing problems.
Six others have reportedly been arrested after hotel workers were taken injured.
Club CEO Peter Moore has called on the supporters to act with ‘grace and humility’ after the incident, whilst the club itself has also condemned the behaviour.
Let’s see what the rightly outraged Liverpool supporters on Twitter have been saying about the situation…
The striker on-loan from West Bromwich Albion has had a fantastic season for the Magpies, netting ten goals in the league and providing 7 assists for his teammates.
One of his former teammates Ben Foster, was quick to respond on Instagram to the big man’s achievements this season.
Foster played with the Venezuelan at West Brom for three years so he will be firmly aware of how good the striker can be on his day.
Foster also saw Rondon’s compassionate side last year when he accidentally broke James McCarthy’s leg, the 29-year-old broke down in tears and went to visit McCarthy in hospital after he had surgery.
It is Rondon’s on-field performances though that have enabled him to win NUFC’s Player of the Year award.
This is in fact Rondon’s best Premier League goal-tally and without him Newcastle would almost certainly have been relegated.
He has quickly become a fans’ favourite on Tyneside, not just because of his knack of scoring important goals but also due to the way he has taken Newcastle to his heart.
Rafa Benitez will surely want to get him signed up permanently after the season he has had on Tyneside.
His future will almost certainly be influenced by Mike Ashley’s prudence, so the Magpies faithful certainly won’t be banking on their new hero to remain at the club beyond the summer.
Aston Villa fans have been largely delighted with the form of Tyrone Mings since the centre-back arrived on loan from Bournemouth during the January window.
However, a number took to social media to criticise the 26-year-old for his performance against West Bromwich Albion on Tuesday night.
Villa suffered a 1-0 defeat to the Baggies in the second leg of their Championship playoff semi-final, but Dean Smith’s side won the resulting penalty shootout to book their spot in the final.
According to WhoScored, Mings only made one tackle on Tuesday night.
The defender picked up a yellow card in the 16th minute, though, and did look slightly nervy making challenges from that point forward.
Thogden has ranked his top 5 sets of Championship away fans for Pl>ymaker FC. Did your club make the list? Find out in the video below…
Villa are through to the playoff final – where they will face either Leeds United or Derby County – but the performance of Mings in the second leg of the semi-final slightly disappointed the club’s fans.

With Rangers’ season done and dusted, manager Steven Gerrard can finally fully focus on the challenges ahead this summer as the club prepare to mount a serious challenge on the trophies available in Scotland next term.
The recruitment team at Ibrox have already been busy of course, signing players such as Jake Hastie and Jordan Jones on a pre-contract basis, also tying down Steven Davis.
One big blow to the squad will be the departure of Ryan Kent, who will head back to parent club Liverpool with his future next season very much in doubt.
It will, initially at least, leave the Gers first-team without a key attacking threat, although you’d have to think that the arrival of Jones has at least been designed to fill the gap left by the 22-year-old.
Can the Northern Ireland international step into that left wing position and make fans forget all about Kent?
On the chalkboard
Jones, who is coming off the back of a season helping Kilmarnock qualify for Europe after finishing third in the Scottish Premiership, undoubtedly has talent and is one of the stand-outs in the division outside of Rangers and Celtic.
A more direct and pacy talent than Kent, he might lack a bit of the flair that the Liverpool man offered the Gers throughout 2018/19 and as a result may find it tougher to win over supporters as quickly as Kent, whose close ball control and skill had fans on their feet from the start.
He would need to up his direct goal contribution too, registering just four goals and four assists for the entire season at Kilmarnock.
That kind of end product won’t fly at Ibrox and ultimately may be the real barrier Jones has to break through to be considered a viable replacement for Kent.
Check out Keith from C’mon the Hoops’ fascinating video on the origins of the Old Firm derby below…
Threat to progress
Jones also arrives at the club as another left winger, Glenn Middleton, continues to build a bit of hype of his own at Rangers.
Initially getting plenty of football in the first half of the season, the teenager was dropped to the reserves after the winter break, but continued to catch the eye of fans with a number of excellent goals at that level and for youth sides.
The former Killie man would have to hit the ground running to stave off calls for Middleton to get more game time.
Both trying to live up to the billing of a Kent replacement as well as being someone who is a threat to the progress of the 19-year-old, Jones will absolutely have it all to prove when he does arrive in Gerrard’s squad.
Nottingham Forest have a lot of work to do during the summer if they’re actually serious about at least getting into the play-offs. Surely they have to be, right? This kind of miserable stagnation just can’t go on much longer, or an Ipswich situation may indeed be on the cards.
Dramatic, perhaps, but the current state of play just cannot be the long-term strategy.
Indeed, having spent a good sum of money last summer, only to finish ninth, better recruitment needs to be conducted during this window if they’re to return to the top flight. Clearly, fans are really hoping that Martin O’Neill can prove he just had a shaky start as manager, rectifying by impressing this season.
So, with the right budget, there is faith in the team and the manager that great things can happen this season.
One player linked with Nottingham Forest who would be a tremendous coup is Callum O’Dowda, especially as he could replace the outgoing Diogo Goncalves.
O’Dowda, (who is valued at £1.8 million on Transfermarkt) has been linked with a move to Nottingham Forest among other Championship sides this summer after a good season for Bristol City. Martin O’Neill is said to be keen on recruiting a goalscoring midfielder, something O’Dowda definitely is considering he has four goals and five assists to his name this season.
Goals throughout the team can’t be a bad thing, right? Lewis Grabban certainly needs the help.
Meanwhile, the 24-year-old himself is keen on a move to a bigger club, which Forest tick the box of being, given their rich history and determination to get back into the Premier League. So all things considered, it seems to be a move that would work out brilliantly for all involved and the potential to have Callum O’Dowda, Joao Carvalho and Joe Lolley in midfield screams of promotion back to the Premier League.
Do you think that Callum O’Dowda would make a good signing for Nottingham Forest? Let us know in the comments below!
Manchester United football club are having a major crisis right now and it does not bode well for the future.
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is at the wheel and everything seemed to be changing when he first arrived. Though after their magical night in Paris, where they defeated Paris Saint-Germain, United then only managed to accumulate two wins in their next 12 matches.
Massive changes have to be made this summer and it could mean that Man United wave goodbye to a number of players, while changing their transfer structure dramatically.
The idea is that the Red Devils will instead sign the players of tomorrow, ones full of potential and willingness to play for this prestigious club. Indeed, they were linked with the man in question by Football Ghana via the Daily Star earlier this week.
Although Thomas Partey is now 25-years-old, he would most definitely be a magnificent signing and one that could take Man United’s midfield to a new level.
Partey (who is valued at £45 million on Transfermarkt) was hugely important for Atletico Madrid this season as he played 42 times in all competitions.
The athletic, energetic box-to-box midfielder scored three goals and even provided six assists from a deep-lying role for Diego Simeone’s side.
Behind Paul Pogba and whoever else may join, Partey could be a fantastic option in-between defence and midfield, breaking up play and helping Man United to progress further forward up the pitch.
With bags of experience having played in Simeone’s incredibly well-drilled Atletico Madrid side, Man United would instantly acquire a player who makes them better in every aspect.
Partey could also help attract other players to come and join Man United, to steer the club back to where they’re supposed to be.

By the very skin of their teeth, Aston Villa are a Premier League club again. For three-quarters of the play-off final at Wembley on Monday Dean Smith’s men were the better side.
Derby struggled defensively and at the opposite end of the pitch the tenacious Mason Bennett failed to ever really get going.
Yet with four minutes of regulation time to play, the Villans were staring at a nervy end to the game. Tyrone Mings went off after injuring himself in the process of making a superb last-ditch tackle whilst just a few moments earlier, Jack Marriott’s effort brushed Martyn Waghorn and found the back of the net.
So with Mings leaving the pitch, Villa needed someone to produce a colossal effort. The man to do so? Kortney Hause, a Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee.
On the chalkboard
Hause’s performance in the dying moments at Wembley was a monumental showing. The Wolves man was tasked with dragging his parent club’s rival through the very last push in their quest for promotion and he did so to superb effect.
Replacing Mings is no easy task. He was exceptional after signing on loan in January, but his substitute’s display was worthy of each and every sparkling outing the Bournemouth loanee has had.
Derby were full of life towards the end of the match, but Hause was in the way on numerous occasions as balls came flying into the penalty area.
He won two aerial duels, heading the ball away from danger in a show of ruthlessness that hadn’t been associated with the Villans’ backline earlier in the campaign.
He then completed a further two clearances in the short space of time he was on the field.
In just 11 minutes on the pitch, the young defender justified his loan move, and considering Villa have an option to buy the 23-year-old, it wouldn’t be a great surprise if they were to snatch him away from their Midlands rivals on a permanent basis.
If there was a saying to sum up Leeds’ season, it would be “so close yet so far away”.
The Yorkshire side looked certain to gain promotion to the Premier League, with the enigmatic Marcelo Bielsa bringing his breathless style of football to English shores for the first time in his career. Yet when the dust settled, Leeds just couldn’t get the job done.
But all is not lost. The Whites managed to reclaim the services of Bielsa for a second season and with rumours of a Qatari takeover on the horizon the future could be well and truly prosperous for Leeds, who many neutrals are keen to see back in the Premier League.
Heading into the transfer window, Bielsa will need to be certain that every new face brought in has what it takes to push Leeds over the finish line and return them to the promised land of top-flight football. So out of all the names reported so far, who will actually help the Whites to this goal?
[snack_break title=”Jamal Lowe”]
Signing from the lower leagues might not be the ideal move when looking for players that can fire you to the Premier League, but Jamal Lowe is a rare exception, and according to Sky Sports News, Leeds are set to duke it out for the Portsmouth winger this summer.
Blessed with rapid pace and deadly finishing, Lowe has been one of League One’s most impressive players, raking up 15 goals and nine assists in the league this season, and under Bielsa, the 24-year-old could be a great secret weapon to have.
Lowe wouldn’t be involved with the first-team straight away, but there is no doubt the Pompey man will work his way up the pecking order over time and make the wings his own at Leeds.
[snack_break title=”Luke Freeman”]
Midfielder Luke freeman celebrating for QPR
Bielsa’s style of football limits the options Leeds can go for this summer, but for Luke Freeman, the QPR man would be a perfect signing for the club as London Football News report that Leeds are interested in the playmaker.
Freeman’s versatility to play in both midfield and on the wings make him an ideal player for Bielsa’s squad, and 27-years-old, the former Arsenal academy product will add good experience to a side brimming with young talent that can learn a thing or two from the experienced midfielder.
Nine goals and eight assists last season is also a good indicator that Freeman is heading into the prime years of his career, and Leeds need to pounce on this before it is too late.
[snack_break title=”Callum O’Dowda”]
Another player from the Championship who is reportedly on Leeds’ radar is Bristol City winger Callum O’Dowda, who according to the Times is ready for a fresh start, and that the Whites are one of the sides in the running.
The Ireland international has been out of action since March with a knee injury and was previously rumoured with a move to Leeds back in the January transfer window by Leeds Live. With five goals and five assists to his name last season, Leeds should consider making a move for the Bristol speedster this summer.
With Jack Harrison unlikely to return next season, Leeds are in need of a left-sided winger who is able to contribute to the score sheet, and O’Dowda fits the bill.
[snack_break title=”Florian Aye”]
It’s safe to say Leeds wouldn’t have made it as far had it not been for the goal scoring heroics of Kemar Roofe and Patrick Bamford, but heading into the next season it could be wise to stock up more on reliable strikers, which is why Florian Aye would be a smart signing.
The 22-year-old striker has been reported by Turkish outlet Haberturk as a target for Leeds after an impressive season in Ligue 2, hitting 18 goals for Clermont Foot, and Aye’s reliable form in front of goal will be a much-needed boost for Bielsa.
Being rotated with Roofe and Bamford will ensure goals galore at Elland Road next season, and at 22, Aye could be the man to lead the line for the foreseeable future at Leeds if he finds his feet in England.
[snack_break title=”Dino Islamovic”]
Another story from overseas has seen Swedish outlet FotbollDirekt link Ostersunds striker Dino Islamovic with a move to Leeds this summer, and just like Aye, the attacker could be a great addition to the squad.
Currently on four goals this season, Islamovic will add more attacking depth to Leeds and a useful option waiting in the wings. The target man’s ability to hold up play and allow wingers to sneak in behind has made the 25-year-old a vital player for the Swedish side.
Power, height and the ability to bring wide players into the attack sounds like the profile of a striker that could thrive at Leeds, and Islamovic may be the man just for the job.
Conor Coventry could be the latest West Ham United academy graduate, perhaps destined to follow in the footsteps of Declan Rice.
The Republic of Ireland youth international is just 19 but it already showing all of the signs that he could make a first-team breakthrough sooner rather than later.
He is currently the captain of the club’s Under-23 team, having made 36 appearances for them, and has been capped at Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-21 level by his country.
Coventry has already made his senior debut for the club, playing in the 8-0 EFL Cup thumping of Macclesfield Town in 2018.
Pellegrini clearly trusts him and has given him a taste of life in the first-team, as he has been on the bench a total of four times in the Premier League.
An excellent defensive midfielder with the ability to move the ball well, while also boasting the stamina to go box-to-box, his talent has long been evident.
He made his debut in the Premier League Division 2 in 2015/16, when he was just 15.
Coventry is currently with Ireland’s U21 team in the Toulon Tournament and has helped them qualify for the semi-finals, coming on as a substitute in the recent 1-0 win over Bahrain.
There is perhaps a gap opening up too. West Ham only have Rice, Carlos Sanchez and Pedro Obiang to call upon in defensive midfield and bringing Coventry through makes sense. Rice, who Coventry will hope to emulate, is the only Premier League quality player in that trio.
He’s still a teenager, of course, and there is the likelihood that he could potentially be sent out on loan.
But promoting him to the first-team, where he can learn from Rice, now an England international, and Mark Noble, a fantastic servant to the club who is hero-worshipped by the fans, will give him the required ingredients to grow and improve as a player.
He is far from the finished article, of course, but his talents are there for all at the Irons to see.
If he is exposed to the first-team, he will be in the starting XI soon enough.
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Ousmane Dembele from Barcelona this summer, providing that they come up with a £90m bid for the France international.
Dembele has scored 18 times and registered 17 assists in 65 appearances for Barca since a 2017 move from Borussia Dortmund.
The 22-year-old has had a number of fine matches for the Catalan giants but has failed to hit the heights enjoyed by Neymar, who left Camp Nou for Paris Saint-Germain during the same summer.
According to TEAMtalk, Liverpool have been offered the chance to sign Dembele although it would mean coming up with a £90m bid.
A number of the Merseyside club’s fans have been on social media reacting to the transfer report.
And it would be fair to say that a number have mixed opinions.
Whilst many want to sign the France international this summer, others are not interested in a deal due to the finances involved.
